Believe in God, believe also in me.

John 14.1

What We Believe

We believe in the sacred worth and dignity of all  human life and we work hard to express the love of God and the grace and mercy of Christ in all that we do. Worship is the space where we celebrate that assurance. We wholly affirm the gospel’s call to social justice.

We are proud of our Methodist heritage and are known for our call and commitment to change the world.  We are accountable to each other as Christians. Of course, we are also known for our food , our fellowship, and our singing.  We honor the progressive work of our movement’s Anglican founder, John Wesley.  We believe that we, the church, and the world--- all need to be perfected in God ‘s LOVE.

Methodist faith practice works with within a four-fold formula

(one of our many methods):

Scripture

Our deep study of the Word is primary.

We believe that the answers to life's questions are found

in God’s holy Word and Wisdom.

Tradition

We worship and we deem God worthy of our honor and praise. We find deep meaning and profound comfort in the Sacramental/mysterious work that takes place in the church.

Experience

Our experience shapes what we know and how we know it.  We believe in a personal relationship with Jesus that calls us into community with each other and we believe that faith is a journey and process.  We invite you to walk the path with us.

Reason

We believe that it is our responsibility to be a thinking, always learning, people.  We discuss relevant topics, and ponder our faith as it relates to our lives--- in a world that is ever-changing,

    What is Grace?

It is the work of God as three in one:

Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.

God waits patiently for us to acknowledge that gift and blessing.  Once we look to God for our strength and hope, we respond and make right all that we can.  Grace is that certainty of God's presence, peace, and forgiveness. Our response-ability is deep gratitude, compassion, and service.

And grace is what brought you to this space.  God bless you.
