About Us
Vision Statement
We are a welcoming, diverse,
and inclusive community
devoted to serving a loving God
and demonstrating the mercy and grace of Christ
through ministry.
Our congregation provides
spirit-filled worship,
and nurture of individuals of all ages.
We teach and empower disciples
to serve within and beyond our community.
We dedicate our lives to creating and maintaining peace,
And to caring for others and upholding justice through
the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.
Our prayer is that God will guide you to our sanctuary space. We are confident you will be blessed in community with us.
We are on the grow, little by slowly, enlarging our spiritual capacity and understanding, and asking God for direction in this time and place. We want to embrace the unique personality of the Highland Park community. Might you come and be a part of this exciting time?
We believe that community can be formed online, wherein two or three (or more) are gathered in a new kind of space. We also believe that we can be informed and transformed by being a part of the physical body that is the church.
We believe that our lives are enhanced by Sunday worship, exercising the muscle of the spirit, in deep and caring personal relationships. We believe that an hour set aside on Sunday mornings for this kind of celebrating and giving thanks to God is a radical act that can change your life. We believe that there is a profound, deep, and divine meaning to be discovered in our lives.
We also believe that journeying together through the tough questions of faith, asking what Jesus might really do (make peace not war) is necessary. We know the realities of powerlessness and impoverishment, and understand the salvation that is to be administered.
We hope to make a difference in our consumer, rather than care-driven culture. What we offer cannot be bought or sold.
We believe in the work of Creation and see ourselves as responsible stewards of God's gifts.
Come away with us...... to a quiet place.
