I know that there is nothing better for them

than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live;

moreover, it is God's gift that all should eat and drink

and take pleasure in all their toil.

I know that whatever God does endures forever;

nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it;

God has done this,

so that all should stand in awe.

Ecclesiastes 3:12-14

Evening Socials on Social Justice Themes

Our "Sunday Evening" Socials now are
sometimes on evenings other than Sunday!

Monday, February 20
6-8:45pm

Environmental Health & Environmental Cancer

Have you ever wondered how the environment affects your health?

Join us at Trinity UMC for a research discussion for the faith community with scientists from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ),  Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and GreenFaith

Discussion with Light Dinner at 6pm

Our neighbors who happen to be scientists will make their research accessbile to those of us who are not scientists. They will show how their research is relevant to the concerns we have about the impact of the environment on our health
and engage in dialogue that will help to answer your questions or concerns.

This program is one in a series taking place at various faith communities in central Jersey. GreenFaith is an interfaith group helping to develop faith leaders who are informed and passionate about caring for God's good Earth.
It is supported by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health (Grant P30 ES005022)
