In Homage To My Friend

 

David Lee Brown

Words are not enough

To express the love

We all have for him

He was a no-nonsense kind of guy

Which is not to say

He did not like to laugh

He had a great sense of humor

But when it came to business, he was all business

He did not wear a lot of hats

But he had quite a few

Mostly baseball caps

A couple of black ones, a white one

But in life, he was many things

A singer, musician, scientist

Student of life, friend, brother to all

Cousin, son, son of God

We shared some common interests

Love of movies, classic TV, astronomy

Biology, music, theater

He was a generous, loving, kind

Gracious, simple man of God

He loved the church

His second, or was it his first, home

I can go on and on

But simply put

This Doctor David Lee Brown

Was and is my friend

I love him and I will miss him
