Worship

Worship with us on Sundays at 10:30

All are welcome here.

Where do we park? Please park on the street and on adjacent streets.

How long is the service ?  Generally, the service lasts a little over an hour beginning at 10:30am.

How long are the sermons?  Sermons run approximately 12 to 23 minutes.

Do we “pass the peace”?  We do not pass the peace.  But we may greet you with a smile before or after the service.

Are guests singled out?  No, Guests are not singled out. There are visitor registration cards and book by the sanctuary door for you to let us know you were here.

What’s the schedule for Holy Communion?  The UMC has an open table for communion, everyone is welcome.  We serve on the first Sunday of the month by the practice of Intinction.  Break off a piece of bread and dip into the cup of grape juice/the fruit of the vine.

What kind of music do we sing?  With the accompaniment of electronic keyboard, piano, guitar, we sing a variety of praise songs, traditional hymns and spirituals.

What is the service like?  There are always bulletins inside the sanctuary door which give the order of worship and any relevant announcements.   The bulletin contains the printed order of worship and anything typed in bold is something the congregation responds. Any heading that has an asterix (*) preceding it is an activity where you should stand, if able.  Announcements are printed on the inside of the bulletin.  We are also projecting on a screen to allow for hands-free singing ---and dancing!

Is there a nursery?  Yes, we have a nursery. The new room has been prepared. Plus, we have a Sunday School space for toddlers.  We love the sounds of the children. Recently, God has sent us some new families with small children. We have a slider rocking chair in the back of the sanctuary and plan to get more.

How is the seating? Spacious with comfy, cushy pews.  Come see!

Am I expected to give money?  Absolutely not, just come as you are and receive! Give when you feel moved to give back in gratitude because of the blessings that God has given you.  Our lives are gifts from God and we are called to live our lives in love and to "present our bodies as a living sacrifice" (Romans 12:1).
